I was born and raised in Russia where the appreciation of jewelry is inherent to our culture. For my entire life, I have been interested in arts, gems, and jewelry.

Russia is rich in precious gemstones and minerals. It is a country where wearing jewelry has never been a privilege of wealthy people exclusively. But, at all times, it has been an essential part of “dressing well” through all society levels.

As a little girl, I was fascinated by the stories and fairy tales about jewelry treasures and famous gemstones. Later on, when I moved to Montreal from Moscow in 2001, I started attending gemology courses as well as courses on fine jewelry History and Design. At present, I hold FGA Diploma in Gemology (from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain) and a Diploma of a Certified Gem and Jewelry Appraiser (from École de Gemmologie de Montréal).

A passionate hobby has developed into a serious business. In 2009, I founded Jewelry Olga. We design and create pearl jewelry in Montreal.

Why we work with pearls. Not by chance, pearls are called “queens of gems and gems of queens.” They emanate dignity, class, and elegance. Their beauty is both delicate and regal. Today pearls come in a variety of colors, sizes, shapes and textures. They look like little orbs of light and color giving an exquisite glow to a woman wearing them.

Our mission is to create interesting pieces of pearl jewelry for modern stylish women. We ensure that no two pieces are alike. Speaking of our jewelry, we emphasize the word “designer”. Our pearl jewelry is distinguished by an interesting and fresh design. On the one hand, we need to highlight the beauty of pearls; on the other hand, we want to offer pearl jewelry different from what you already have. In addition, our designer pearl jewelry may be given as a memorable unique gift for special occasions including birthdays, christening, wedding, Christmas, etc.

As an experienced gemologist, I carefully select high quality pearls. Moreover, I am always looking for unusual and rare pearls. For our creations, we use perfectly round pearls as well as whimsical and impossibly irregular ones resembling stars, blossoms or even teddy bears! Therefore, some of our pieces are traditionally refined, elegant, and flawless; while others are eccentric and playful or minimalist.

We also combine pearls with ‘semi-precious’ gemstones, e.g. amethyst, apatite, peridot, malachite. Precious metal findings add a contemporary touch to our creations. In addition, some of our pearl jewelry may be transformed into new, unexpectedly original pieces offering modern women freedom to experiment. Don’t be scared to use your imagination and to be an artist yourself!

Bearing in mind history and traditions, using conventional and contemporary materials, we create designer pearl jewelry that makes a modern, fashion-forward woman stylish, unique, and feminine. As extraordinary Coco Chanel prompted us to do.
