Re-stringing your pearl jewelry
If you wear your pearl necklace often, it should be restrung once a year. There are different reasons for this. The thread may worn out and break. As well, it may absorb the perfume and, thus, damage the pearls. Or it may become dirty.
We knot each pearl separately with high-quality silk because pearls should not rub together as this may wear the nacre. In the event, if the thread is broken, the knots will prevent all pearls from falling apart and being lost. Only one or two pearls will fall off.
